employment past weeks willow, Bone Reavers talked about the horrors of the underground mountain house in which trolls called Skellin live, and I really, really wanted to see it. Luckily, Just one week laterThis is the sixth episode of willow He did just that as Kit and Willow were captured by trolls and the rest of the team went to Skellin to find them. show it Skellin, as scary and sinister as she may be Much more important to the story than we imagined.
Before we get into Skellen, though, willow He reminded us all of this: Prince Arik! a ticket? Kate’s brother, Elora’s love, and the reason everyone is on this trip in the first place? Well, things are captured with him as he steps out to reveal the massive scale of the abandoned old city. He appears to be alone, except for a disembodied voice (revealed to be Kron herself in translation) telling him to embrace his power. Arik refuses and decides that, since he’s alone, he’ll probably try to leave. So he started walking. we Catch up with him in another 50 minutes or so.
As we saw last weekWillow and Kit have been captured by trolls and are now kept in Skellin’s dangling cages. Any He has some real emEnnis Moria / Excavating the Passions of Mordor. Kit seems confident they will get out soon when they realize they are not the only prisoners there. There’s also a guy who says his name is, please, drum roll, Madmartigan.
This, dear readers, is not Madmartigan is Val Kilmer. It’s clearly a character played by fellow icon Christian Slater and he couldn’t have lied to two worse people in the world than Mad’s oldest friend, Willow, and his daughter, Kate. Before they can call him out on his foolishness, the trolls arrive. And they are surprisingly funny! It wasn’t nearly appropriate for trolls to have bubbly comic characters but, well, that’s the way it is willow. After Kate reveals her identity, the trolls reveal their true goal: to find Elora Danan for Crone.
Meanwhile, Boorman, Jade, Graydon, Scorpia, and Elora make their way to Skellin. After wading through some troll poop, Graydon decides it’s time to tell Elora how he feels about her. She tells him it’s not the time or the place but her nervousness seems to be… Mountain change. Every time Elora needed to sneeze or felt scared, Skellin shuddered all over. The trolls realize that Kit and Willow’s friends are coming for them, Elora among them.
Back in captivity, Slater’s character is called out on his bullshit and is revealed to be Alagash, an old friend of Mad’Martigan’s who, along with… Borman, go with him in search To find the legendary Kymerian Cuirass armor. Alagach also says that Borman betrayed him and Madmartigan and that he already knows Madmartigan’s whereabouts. Actually, it’s here in Skellin… Kind of. Apparently, there is more to this place than meets the eye. And so, after this bomb revelation, Kate and Willow help break Elagash out.
Scorpia leaves the group of rescuers to try to rescue some of their own who are also captured in the mine, while the other four continue to search for Kit and Willow. or are they? Boorman says he knows where he’s going, but it’s unclear if he’s sincere, and Elora’s unexplained attachment to this mountain leads to her nearly falling into the lava and losing Cherlindrea’s wand. She also hears Kate’s voice yelling at her in the distance.
However, Kate does not actually yell at Elora. She doesn’t even know it’s there. She is very interested in Lagash and his stories about her father. We learn that they were great friends and that despite falling out briefly, Madmartigan asked him to come with him on one last adventure. The Allagach believes that the Madmartian is somewhere in Wiggleheim’s tomb, the final resting place of a legendary adventurer who they believe, after three years of searching, is buried with Keimas Koras.
According to Alagach, when they reached the tomb, Borman betrayed them and stole the Lux Arcana, but Madmartigan went to the tomb anyway, never to return. Then trolls came looking for Madmartigan, so Alagash claimed he was So that his friend can continue his quest without being pursued. That’s why he was stuck in captivity –But As far as he knows, Madmartigan never gets out.
As Kate learns all this about her father and his mysterious quest, Boorman is, in fact, lying. He’s not looking for Kit and Willow. He is looking for the grave so that he can again –And now in possession of the Lux Arcana—Try getting Kymerisn Curass. However, he has stated that what happened the last time he was there was the most regretful thing in his life and hopes for good.
With the parties heading to the grave inevitably Everyone is reunited. Borman and Lagash fight like mortal opponents. Angry Willow Elora lost the wand. But before everything is sorted, the trolls are close, and everyone heads off to the grave. To get in, they must solve two puzzles, which they eventually do, which is when Alagash and Borman rush inside and tear it apart in search of Curass, which they find. And while they fight over her, Kate becomes attracted. she hears her father’s voice; He asks her for help, and she notices that he didn’t take his sword with him. The answers to the questions only reveal more questions.
Allagash defeats Boorman who escapes with Curass and Lux but quickly returns to help our heroes fight off the trolls. He gets stabbed and realizes Curass didn’t work, at least for him. And so he drags the trolls away so that everyone can escape before delivering the final message to Kate. He says Madmartigan left to go wherever he was because he believed his children could protect what was important back home. what was he talking about, Kate asks? Lagash is shown by Elora Danan. The last two words ever Kate wanted to hear. Further confirmation that her father, time and time again, chose Elora over her.
The escape continues but Kate can’t take it. She takes out her anger on Elora and Elora’s pressure on the situation begins to shake the mountain. Everyone wants them to fight outside but the mountain cracks the surface under Kate’s feet and she is trapped underwater. Even when Elora finds Cherlindrea’s wand again, it seems to be of no use. Kate, for sure, will die.
That left a cliffhanger for next week, and the episode finally came back to Prince Eric. His stroll to leave the old city leads him to the old city. He’s trapped. As he is about to give up hope, he hears a voice. Another one was captured and taken here by Crone. Young woman. And since the Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations” plays on the soundtrack, we can begin to guess how Arik feels about this young woman. Can she be trusted? What’s her story? We’ll find out soon.
“Prisoners of Skellen” was another highly entertaining and important episode of willow. Mostly this is because we now know where Madmartigan is. It’s in Skellen. Or, at least, some other dimension reached through Skellin, and he went there in hopes, once again, of saving the world. That he did it at the expense of his family is something we hope It will be completed later this season.
