Rebuild strength

The first confrontation has one goal: to restore strength. This is accomplished by defeating the Conduit Minotaurs, obtaining the Arctic buff, and firing the nodes in the correct sequence to complete the node circuit.

  1. Defeat the Conduit Minotaurs and stand in the pond you fall in to get the Arctrician
  2. Follow the power cables from the center hole to the generator
  3. Shoot the first node in the generator, follow the power cable to the next node, shoot it and repeat until you reach the last node
  4. Repeat this process until all four nodes are activated

When you enter this small town area for the first time, locate the large hole and the four power nodes. Cables connected to it lead to four generators. The starting node in a sequence has white arrows flashing beside it and is in the generator.

Channel Minotaurs that drop Arctic Force will spawn when defeated. This continues for 30 seconds and allows the nodes to activate. Start with a knot in the power generator and follow the cable along to the next knot. Nodes must be triggered in sequence, and skipping a node or activating the wrong node will cause it to deactivate after a few seconds.

Activating all nodes along the power cable will lock the bracket node into the center hole. Once all four nodes are activated, you will be able to advance deeper into the Spire of the Watcher dungeon.

During this battle, Cyclops will spawn along the ridgeline while Goblins and Harpies will swarm in the middle.

Climb up the spire

As before, Conduit Minotaurs will drop Arctic buffs that are used to charge up the Contract. Follow the cables along, charge nodes, and defeat the Minotaurs as you climb the tower.

  1. Defeat the conduit minotaurs for arctic lovers
  2. Activate the bow nodes in sequence to charge the elevators
  3. Climb the tower to the top

The Ascend the Spire encounter is basically the same as the previous one, albeit with the added challenge of climbing the tower. Locate the starting nodes, defeat the Conduit Minotaur due to the power of the Arctic, and start running cables. Follow the cables as they wrap around the tower.

Once you charge a set of nodes, the elevator will take you to the next section. Repeat this process until you reach the top and find your reward chest.

Akelous, Siren Stream

The first boss fight in Spire of the Watcher is against Akelous, Siren’s stream. The Arctic buffs are again used to charge the nodes, this time sending current to the ends of the lanes to activate the fuel rod. When all four are activated, Aklos’ eyes can be damaged and subsequently her heart.

  1. Defeat the Conduit Minotaurs and take the power of the North Pole
  2. Charge nodes that start in the middle and go out to your fuel rails
  3. Shoot Aclus’s eyes and then block its center
  4. Repeat until Aquilos is defeated

The arena in which Akelous fights has a central area and four lanes that extend to fuel rails. In order to reach the damage stage, nodes must be charged starting from the center. Locate the Conduit Minotaurs, defeat them, take the power of the arctic and start powering up the fuel rods.

When all four fuel rods are activated, Akelous will go to one and the damage phase will begin. Its red eyes must be destroyed before its central dwelling becomes weak. Up to 50 percent of his maximum health will be subject to damage per turn.

As the damage phase ends, Akelous will perform a massive concussive blast, knocking players off and possibly off the edge. Prepare for it by sliding down the boardwalks or using abilities to get back to safety.

Persis, Primal Ruin

The final boss in the Spire of the Watcher dungeon is Persys, Primordial Ruin. Like other bouts, the Arctic buffs are used to run knots around the arena. The goal this time is to activate the reactor’s core purge, which will leave Persis vulnerable.

  1. Defeat the Channel Minotaurs and collect the Arctic buff
  2. Activate the nodes to start purge the reactor core
  3. Return to the room opposite, activate the knots on the columns, and the knot above the door to close it
  4. When the doors reopen, damage Persys and then repeat the process

The battlefield against Percys, Primal Ruin is divided into two parts: a reactor room and a safe room. The goal is to use the Arctic buffs to activate the nodes, and begin disinfecting the reactor. At this point, head back to the safe room where you can activate the nodes on the pillars and above the door to shut down Persys. Once the reactor purge is complete, the boss will be vulnerable for a short time.

Locate the Conduit Minotaurs, defeat them, and start activating the nodes in the reactor core room. When the reactor is activated, a text will appear on the screen stating: Reactor purge is imminent, look for safety. At this point, go back to the starting room.

Use the arctic buff to activate the nodes on the pillars and then the last nodes at the top of the door. This will shut down Persys with the reactor. Once the purge is complete, the doors will open and Percy will be vulnerable.

The Spire of the Watcher dungeon will put up a decent fight the first time players dive into Destiny 2. It does, however, have some great loot to earn and is one of the faster dungeons to complete, so expect to dive in again rather soon!
