‘Exorcist’ star Linda Blair talks about The Masked Singer, if she’s ever experienced paranormal activity

“Exorcist” actress Linda Blair opened up about her time on “The Masked Singer,” revealing that it wasn’t the easiest experience for her.

“It was unbelievable. It was very difficult, and I did it from the heart to entertain people,” Blair told Fox News Digital.

“This was an amazing opportunity. I wanted to do this on behalf of the animals…the crisis we’re in and the work I’m doing with the foundation.”

In 2006, Blair set up a charity, the Linda Blair World Heart Foundation Rescue and Wellness Centre.

She indicated that one of the reasons for her participation in “The Masked Singer” was to spread awareness of the animal crisis in the country.

“We don’t want to see absolutely adorable companion animals sleeping for the sake of space,” Blair explained to Fox News Digital while sitting next to an adorable pet dog.

Meanwhile, during Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” Blair revealed herself as the scarecrow with a large jack-o’-lantern head, explaining the challenges of wearing the costume on the show.

Blair described: “It’s incredibly claustrophobic. You really have to kind of rely on your senses, rely on all your training, rely and pray to the universe that you’re not going to fall off the stage.”

She went on to say that she channeled Mick Jagger into him during her performance.

Meanwhile, Blair contemplated her role in “The Exorcist” and whether she had ever experienced paranormal activity herself.

“Not on set. No, I never did that. That was something a lot of people ask. You know, when the movie came out, I didn’t feel anything.”

Blair told Fox News Digital how she thinks horror films have evolved over the years.

“I have to tell you; I don’t like horror movies. They scare me,” she admitted.

Blair went on to say that she prefers to laugh during a comedy, but noted that horror films do an “amazing job” with all the “new technology”, adding that that wasn’t the case when she worked on “The Exorcist”. “

“That’s why it’s such an iconic movie because it was like putting on a magic show, and it was hard. It was really hard. But I think they’re making amazing movies now…we’ll see what happens next year with a new one.”

“The Masked Singer” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
