Diablo 4 Limited Collector’s Edition revealed, not including the game
The Diablo IV Collector’s Edition is now available for pre-order at the Blizzard Gear Store, and includes an artbook, Sanctuary map, “Candle of Creation,” and more.
Blizzard previewed every single piece of the Collector’s Edition in a recent live stream. At $96.66, the Collector’s Edition doesn’t include an actual copy of Diablo IV, but it does contain a bunch of other goodies for fans of the game to enjoy. Of particular note is the electric candle that features both the angel Enarius and the demon Lilith, who play major roles in the story of Diablo IV.
Other items included in the Collector’s Edition include a detailed canvas map of the sanctuary, a pin representing the ancient Horadrim Brotherhood (which game director Joe Shelley said in a live stream plays a large role in the story of Diablo IV), and a mysterious mouse pad. It wouldn’t be a Blizzard collector’s edition without an art book, and that’s included too, with over 300 pages of art used to craft the look and feel of Diablo IV. Art lovers will also enjoy two framed art prints, one depicting Lilith and Enarius and the other the armies of Hell.
Diablo IV Collector’s Edition privately does not include any in-game items, which are instead granted for pre-ordering Diablo IV either on PC via Battle.net or on consoles. It’s also worth noting that this Collector’s Edition won’t arrive when Diablo IV arrives on June 6, 2023. The Collector’s Edition pre-order page states that the product won’t ship until June 30, 2023, which means the adventurers will have hacked and slashed their way through Sanctuary for a while. Almost a full month before it will likely arrive for those who pre-ordered.
Diablo IV was recently a hit at The Game Awards, where the game’s official release date was revealed amid reports of crunch and mismanagement at Blizzard as the development team pushes in preparation for the game’s June 2023 release.
In a recent hands-on preview, we said Diablo IV appears to be on the right track, “fulfilling on its promise to give players a lot more agency than before in how they play and build their favorite characters, while also providing more ways to manipulate content and choose the activities that matter to them first.”
